Why I am doing this to myself.

Reviewing movies is hard. At least making good or useful reviews is not so easy. It is hard to explain /why/ a movie is good or bad. Especially for someone like me who has eclectic taste and a lot depends on my mood at the time. Anyone can say a movie is good or a movie sucks. Explaining why takes skill. Besides, the world isn't so black & white. Sometimes, movies are just ‘okay’.

I notice a lot of the popular critics use uncommon words and interesting phrases to explain a movie. Most of the time, all I can think is "What are they trying to say?" And most of the time they are too critical like they just hate the director or actor already. It's hard to be unbiased, though. I mean, it is opinion after all.

I was just reading some reviews on a website. Some reviews are just awful and some are just stupid. It was like they /hated/ the movie before they saw it. And now they just want to bitch about it real quick. Lame!

This is what I mean: Don't rate dozens of movies very low then turn around and tell me Transformers was one of the greatest movies you've seen in a while. (Nothing against Transformers, but really?)

Okay. Obviously, I am taking this a little too serious. But, I can't help it.
